DANCING WITH GAIA’S SONGS & SCREAMS

Ohh Spiritual Trickster,

How you played me,

A devil’s bargain,

How could I refuse?

You opened my heart with insight,

Radiating beauty and light,

Yet smuggled in vitality’s painful fight,

A primordial battle of day and night,

For if we look,

We must feel,

If we fully feel,

We must snuggle with it all,

With every cobweb,

and every cave,

With Gaia’s songs,

and her screams,

Ohhh…

Mountains meditating,

Glaciers annihilating,

Squirrels playing ,

Hives vanishing,

Clouds painting,

Trees screaming,

Geese pilgrimaging,

Soil choking,

Rain composing,

Coral starving,

Crows gossiping,

Rivers drowning,

Flowers bedazzling,

Fruit poisoning,

OHH Man hoping,

Fires raging,

Dreams birthing,

Time aging,

Questions arising,

Answers hiding,

OHH Who will live?

Who will die?

Who will try?

Who will stand-by?

Who will feed the babies?

Ohhhhh....who will feed the babies?

Ohh Nations falling,

Tribes uniting,

Traditions dissolving,

Myths emerging,

Civilization crumbling,

Regeneration composting,

Damn you Spiritual Trickster,

I came for the honey,

And you prepared a feast,

Of expanding sparkling sky,

and tornados and quicksand inside,

So knowing we don’t know the way,

We must fight for a better way,

Singing and dancing and feasting a way,

While softly sinking into shadows along the way,

For the one who sees,

There is no thing,

For the one who feels,

There is everything.
